ZIRCONIA AND CAD CAM: WHEN AND HOW?

With the increasing demand in esthetic and function, dentists are facing new challenges everyday.
Although new ceramics provide a better look, they generally result in poor mechanical properties.
Today, the use of zirconia and CAD CAM systems, brings us closer in joining esthetics and strength with very good biocompatibility of the material.
However, with the diversity of CAD/CAM systems in the market and the different types of zirconia available, there is need to explore the clinical performance and longevity of these metal free restorations.
This lecture will describe in detail the clinical steps that are so important for success, and will explain the rational behind the use of this new technology.
An overview of the different systems and the main advantages will also be discussed.

Prof. Philippe Tardieu course has been developed based on the success of his first Aesthetic Course launched in 2009. "Current Concept in Aesthetic Dentistry" course has been developed as an answer to professionals' frustration facing aesthetic cases. The course has been set up in three annual two-day sessions. Each session includes live TV demo and workshop. And each session is original. One can attend to anyone independently.
SESSION 1 is about the Concept of Aesthetics and is called: From Smile to Aesthetics.
It helps discovering the hidden code of aesthetics. Analysis from paintings of the Renaissance to today's movies stars' smiles and faces are studies to discover the code of aesthetics. An introduction to the Golden ration and the sequence of Fibonnacci helps participants understanding how to analyze and build up aesthetic cases. Introduction to aesthetic forms and photography techniques is done during the first session too.
