Guarantees should at least entitle you to the following:

• Partial dentures: 2 - 3 years
• Full dentures: 1 year

Fixed restorations:

• Bridges, crowns, fillings, inlays: 2 - 5 years
• Dental implants: 2 - 10 years (material)

Please note that the guarantees usually do not apply to root canal treatment.

Generally guarantees are only valid if the dentist / clinic completes the full work (i.e places the crowns and / or bridges and / or denture).

In most cases guarantees will be reduced or invalidated if:

• oral hygiene is neglected
• dentists instructions are not followed
• removable restoration such as partials dentures or full dentures are not kept and maintained properly
• you don't attend the practice for check-ups at least once every 12 months
• the gum tissue or teeth bone is naturally reducing
• substantial amount of weight loss or gain within a short period of time
• a general illness is being present which has an unfavourable effects on the chewing organ (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, Osteoporosis, after condition of X-rays or chemotherapy)

It is also common, that guarantees do not include travelling and accommodation expenses and is only valid for remedial dental work.
